Wolves Secure Agreement for the Arrival of Pablo Sarabia

Wolverhampton Wanderers have successfully negotiated a £4.4 million deal for Paris St-Germain and Spanish winger Pablo Sarabia.

The 30-year-old is set to undergo a medical examination at Wolves on Tuesday and is poised to ink a two-and-a-half-year deal, marking the club's third acquisition in the ongoing transfer window.

Sarabia, who joined PSG from Sevilla in 2019, has netted 11 goals in 35 Ligue 1 appearances. The winger spent the 2021-22 season on loan at Sporting Lisbon and made a single appearance for Spain in the last World Cup.

Since his senior international debut in 2019, Sarabia has earned 26 caps and scored nine goals. Wolves manager Julen Lopetegui, who shares a history with Sarabia through national age-group teams and a brief encounter at Sevilla, is familiar with the player.

Although Sarabia didn't play under Lopetegui during their time at Sevilla, the impending move to Wolves indicates a reunion between the player and his former manager.

This signing follows Wolves' recent acquisition of Gabon midfielder Mario Lemina from Nice and the addition of Brazil forward Matheus Cunha on an initial loan deal from Atletico Madrid in December.
